Dirk Denzer Performing Arts takes on the crisis
18/01/2010 â Dirk Denzer Performing Arts deals with the crisis in a âplayfulâ way, even though it too has felt the effects of the global financial and economic crisis.
Budget cuts, cancelled events, streamlined events â Dirk Denzer Performing Arts has not escaped the effects of the global financial and economic crisis. Company events in particular saw a downturn in turnover that had to be bolstered. It is therefore all the more surprising that Denzer â in the face of all this adversity â seems to have dealt with the crisis effortlessly and has recently talked about 2009 being an âexceptionally successful yearâ.
One of the reasons surely has to be the huge variety that Denzer offers, which spurred numerous companies on to make direct contact with the dramatic event advisor, conceptual designer, director, and production artist. And this paid off in every respect for all clients, as is demonstrated by the successful events, which Denzer was responsible for in every respect, ranging from the original idea and design, to production, putting together the artistic program and technical implementation.
In this way, for example, he electrified the 450 guests of the gala dinner held on the occasion of the centenary of the Tauberfranken public services, for which he himself also presented a multi-media journey through the history of the company that lasted several hours. Or the Bosch Rexroth event for approx. 1000 top customers and engineers from all corners of the world. In addition to this, numerous other large and small events were held for old and new customers alike, which Denzer developed and staged in direct collaboration with persons in charge at management level and in marketing.
The highlight for Dirk Denzer Performing Arts, both in terms of event size and with regard to its duration, was without doubt âDirk Denzers Magische Momenteâ (Dirk Denzerâs Magical Moments), the international variety festival that was held in Sennfeld near Schweinfurt for the third time now. Despite the difficult economic climate, the concept was to present an ambitious world-class Variety performance at a festival; this was surprisingly crisis-proof and turned the cultural spectacle into a real crisis celebration. The demand for audience tickets was so large (all events sold out very quickly) that the decision was taken on short notice to stage an extra show. Approx. 15,000 visitors enjoyed a total of eleven event days with six shows clearly structured into topics, which redefined the Variety art form.
The shows should also presumably be interesting for future company events. The new productions in particular, such as the âMusicaâ music spectacle or âWasserweltenâ (Water Worlds) can be perfectly adapted to the requirements and needs of different companies.
For Denzer, 2009 was a âyear of major contrastsâ: On the one hand the year saw the large event of the International Variety Festival along with some major company events, and on the other hand also some smaller â not least caused by the economic situation â yet nice events. For this reason, Denzer not only refers to a positive outcome in the economic sense: âThe crisis showed that we have the flexibility and the quality to be able to offer our customers high-quality, customized solutions in difficult times too.â Smaller budgets in this regard donât have to mean less attractive events. The thing needed here is the imagination and courage to find creative solutions.
